A message to my Valued Clients,

Thanks to you, Professional Standards Editing (PSE) celebrated 2 years of business this past November. Many things have been learned in these last years, and many problems encountered and overcome. However, a persisting problem has been insufficient payment of invoices received by bank transfer.

Note that I have reception fees whenever I receive a bank transfer, which I am happy to absorb as they are imposed by my bank, and as such I believe that they should in no way handicap my clients. However, PSE is not responsible for any bank fees related to the sending of funds to our accounts. All sending fees must be covered by the payee in such a way that the full invoice amount due is received in PSE accounts.

Indeed, it has become common that the amount received in PSE accounts is anywhere from 10-20 USD LESS than the invoice amount due. I have been absorbing this difference, but over time this amounts to sums that are simply too large for my small business to bear. Therefore, as of 1 January 2013, if the invoice amount due (not counting any fees my own bank charges) is not received in full in PSE accounts, a follow-up invoice will be issued with the balance due.

A statement to this effect will be added to all invoices.
